FRYING WITH ENAMEL
Although you can fry your food in enamel pans, enamel pots and some enamel bowls can also be used for this purpose.
This is a matter of business use or whether the household is crowded or not.
Frying works extremely well in enamel pans.
To ensure perfect crispy results and to avoid overheating the pan, there are five golden pan rules.
We would like to share them with you.
FRYING AND ROASTING IN AN ENAMEL PAN
Enamel pans are the most versatile of the long-lasting pans and are very popular with cooking enthusiasts. They are suitable for all fried dishes, from quick searing to slow cooking. Heat is retained evenly on both the base and sides of the pan and it is very good that the heat can be lowered quickly.
The bottom of the pan is always slightly curved inwards as it expands after heating and then lies flat on the hob. Glass and iron expand differently with enamel (glass on iron). It is therefore important to start the roasting process at medium heat and not at the highest heat and then increase the heat. This ensures that both materials expand evenly. The reason why we keep repeating this point is that it is extremely important for you to use your enamel in the most efficient way and for many years.
5 Golden Rules About Enamel Pan
For better taste and long life of your pan
1) Choose and use correctly
Choose the right pan for the meal and the number of people.
Follow the instructions for use of the hob and pan.
Remove labels and rinse carefully before first use.
2) Heat gradually and do not overheat
Choose a hob of the appropriate diameter and never use a hob that is too small. NEVER heat the pan without the contents.
Spread the oil evenly and heat gradually, NEVER starting at the highest level. DO NOT use the boost function on induction hobs. (This is only intended for rapid heating of large quantities of liquid)
The correct temperature has been reached when the oil moves like a line across the pan. The optimum operating temperature for the oil used is around 220°C. In case of vapor formation, reduce the heat level immediately.
3) Observe continuously
NEVER leave the frying process unattended. The oil may catch fire (in case of an oil fire NEVER try to put it out with water), the pan may overheat, food may burn.
4) Clean by hand
To ensure you can enjoy your pan for a long time, we recommend cleaning it by hand using the right cleaning equipment. You can find more information in the Maintenance section.
5) Store with care
If you hang or stack them, you can use paper towels or specially sold mats for pans.
